Delipher Gabriel has earned a reputation as a beacon of hope. Known for her infectious laughter and compassionate spirit, she dedicated her life to helping others navigate their darkest moments.
She has learned that, sometimes, a smile could bridge the gap between despair and hope.
Growing up in Dwangwa she had witnessed friends and family members grapple with the stigma surrounding HIV. Many felt isolated and ashamed, reluctant to seek help or talk about their experiences.
However, through Umunthuplus, under the PEPFAR funded project-Person-centered and effective combination HIV prevention options, Delipher understood that knowledge was a powerful tool, and she made it her mission to educate her community about HIV prevention and awareness.
‘Through this project, I’ve gained the knowledge and confidence to discuss sensitive topics openly and we will continue engaging with many more people because of the influence and connection made so far.’she explained.
